14. List and explain any four session handling functions in PHP.
15. Discuss on cookies in PHP:

17. Explain the various PostgreSQL query execution functions in PHP.
18. Create a login interface using HTML. The interface should contain fields for reading
username and password and a submit button.

19. Compare client-side scripting and server-side scripting.
20. Explain the execution of an INSERT query in a PostgreSQL database after reading data
through a PHP front end.
21. Write a PHP script to read a set of comma separated floating point numbers through a
text area from user and print the average of the numbers. The user is free to input any
number of floating point values within the limit of the text area.
22. Write a note on data types in PHP.
23. List and explain any four php fetch functions used to retrieve result of a PostgreSQL
Query execution.
24. Explain various relational operators available in JavaScript.
25. Explain any four JavaScript events with illustration.
26. List and explain any four CSS functions.
27. Explain the general structure of an HTML5 file.

Section D
Answer any three questions. Each question carries 10 marks.
28. A database table stores marks obtained by students of an educational institution in an
examination. Every row of the table contains register number (primary key), the name of
the student and marks obtained in 5 different subjects. Write a php script to create a
result portal which reads student register number and displays the corresponding result
. Assume that all subjects have a maximum total of 100 marks and 40% is required for a
pass in the subject. A student is declared 'passed' if he/she procures a pass in all the
subjects. No need to write code for table creation. Assume that it is already existing.
Make suitable assumptions.
29. Explain any five string handling functions in PHP with illustration.
30. Write an essay on user defined functions in PHP. Give examples for parameter passing
by value and reference.
31. Explain any five CSS functions with illustration.
32. Elaborate on various HTML5 form elements.
